Latest Update Introduction Project Information Make a Pledge How to Donate How to Help Us Search

Dear Friends,

Thank you for your continuing interest in, and prayers for, the Boston Building Project. We are focused on the possible acquisition of the Parish Hall and Parking Lot of the Our Lady of Mercy Church on Belmont Avenue, Belmont, which was closed in 2005. This property has many favorable features with respect to our Criteria.

In late 2008 we took a hard look at acquiring the entire church property but did not make an offer. We have since determined that the Parish Hall and Parking Lot will serve our purposes well. Also in late 2008 a developer stepped in to propose 18-condos on the site. The Town will make its decision on October 26th but the development faces significant obstacles.

We are taking actions to prepare an offer for the Parish Hall and Parking Lot if the condo development falls through. Our Fall Appeal in November will include an update.

Please continue your prayers and good wishes for the success of this project, and join us in the search for our new home!
