Building Survey
Dear Devotee,
We, the members of the Managing Council, are conducting this survey to determine your interest and commitment toward purchasing a permanent center for Paramahansa Yogananda's work in Boston.
Paramahansaji said "If you will grow used to quiet, deep meditation at home and in church, you will someday realize what it has done for your life. You need quiet places for communion with God. This is the real purpose of churches and temples." And shortly before his passing, Master had told his close disciples, "If you all work together in harmony and kindness, this work will sweep the world."
The Center Guidelines state that our group should undertake such a project only when a significant majority of the membership sincerely shows interest and commitment.
Over the years there have been several attempts to purchase a permanent center in Boston. So far, the time has not been right. The purpose of this survey is to determine the group's interest and commitment at this time.
Results:
We will share the results of the survey at the General Business Meeting on November 5, 2006. Based on the results, the next steps will be determined after further discussion among membership and Mother Center.
Note:
If a building project is undertaken by the BMG and approved by Mother Center, Mother Center will open a building account on behalf of BMG. Donations to this account would then be tax-deductible.
Survey Due Date:
Oct 22, 2006
Your sincere opinion is much appreciated. All submitted information will be treated with confidentiality.
Thank you for the time you give to considering all survey questions.
In Divine Friendship,
The Managing Council
